Message that occurs on TT.net, as it does where any group of people intertact. But here goes anyway. I am definately biased in regards to the individuals involved in having their products "stolen". The amount of time, research, money, and good will that Mike Smith and Greg and Seb put into their final product is more than significant. AMS is not doing anything illegal, what they are doing (buying or obtaining an inventor'/developers' product under false pretenses) is morally reprehensible to me. I find it to be legal plagerism. I'm not referring to improving on an existing product or developing your own competitive version, I'm referring to the act of stealing someone's hard work. Yep, you can buy their plagerized products to save some money, it's legal and it's your right. It reminds me of the saying...."I can't define porn, but I know it when I see it" (I see alot of it by the way). I can't define the lack of morality, fairness, and ethical behavior, but I know it when I see it. In my opinion, this (essentially stealing products that some people poured their hearts, souls, and financial risks into) is wrong. Legal, yeah....wrong, absolutely. If your only concern is to save some money, than by all means buy their products. Personally, I chose to support the people that have earned the right to sell the products in question, even if it means a higher cost to me (ie. I bought my manifolds from Mike Smith, and my 3" exhaust from SpecialtyZ, fully aware I could have saved some money by buying them from AMS). I am now officially a member of the TT.net drama club.
